Event Details

This one day workshop, free and open to the public, will feature presentations by scholars and archivists on the history of heritage tourism in British Mandate Palestine and Transjordan.  Papers will cover guidebooks and tours, archaeological sites, museums and hotels to reveal stories behind the public consumption of the past in the Holy Land in the early 20th century.  The workshop is funded by a UCL Grand Challenges Collaborative Pioneer Award.

Followed by a reception in the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology.
